Beautiful View from the Seahorse

The "Seahorse"

Remember that one day where my family and I did nothing of interest? Well that was because, as I explained, it turns out that it got delayed, for today. The seahorse is a boat, as you can see in the picture above, a sailboat. When we first got on the boat we were alone, except for the people who worked on the boat. But we were the only people from our island. after a while, we figured out that the boat was gonna stop and pick up about 70 more people from paradise island. It was a very windy day, and , since it was Wednesday, my sister Noy kept telling me "happy windsday". This seahorse trip was mainly about snorkeling, but the boat stopped at a island a bit far off paradise island called "salt cay" located at 25.0979, -77.2753*. There was good food there, and a place to snorkel.
Also, on the way back we stopped at a place in the middle of the ocean  and they lowered a thing from the boat so we can snorkel. It was so windy that I thought it was actually cold. but it was not cold I was just chilly because being wet + wind = coldness. When I got back on the boat I looked towards the back of the back of the boat where people were snorkeling and it kinda looked like I was on a scene in the Titanic because i saw 70 people just floating in the water and most were with their heads under water. The fish I saw were amazing. They where bright yellow and slightly blue. That reminds me that they where the same colors as Kentucky Country Day colors.

There's a bird on my sister's head....

5th day in the Bahamas- Bus tour in Atlatis

Today we went on a bus tour in paradise island. The driver was really nice. We got to go into Atlantis with no permission to go certain places only guests can go, but we got to eat at the restaurants there. We also made a stop at a place that flamingos just kinda run around. While we were driving along, the guide explained about the history of the Bahamas, the history of Nassau, or the history of whatever we were looking at. It was super warm outside, about 80 degrees Fahrenheit. The driver explained that
Located on New Providence Island, Nassau has a tropical climate and natural beauty of the Bahamas and that has made Nassau a popular tourist destination. Nassau grew up directly behind the port area. New Providence provides 200 km² of relatively flat and low-lying land intersected by low ridges (none of which restricted settlement). In the centre of the island there are several shallow lakes that are tidally connected.
The city's proximity to the United States (180 miles east-southeast of Miami, Florida) has contributed to its popularity as a holiday resort, especially after the banning of American travel to Cuba. The Atlantis resort on nearby Paradise Island accounts for more tourist arrivals to the city than any other hotel property. The mega-resort also employs over 6,000 Bahamians, and is the largest employer outside of government.

4th day in the Bahamas- a Montage of Pictures

Well, right now we are doing absolutely NOTHING, so I've decided to start blogging early today. I usually start writing the blog at about 8 PM, and its like 9 AM now, but oh well. We had something to do today, but it was canceled, so my dad bought an app. for his iPad witch lets you play "The Game of Life" on the iPad. Anyways, we were going to go snorkeling today, and yes I know we did that on the second day, but that was for a very short amount of time, and today we were gonna spend pretty much the entire day snorkeling.
We woke up super early today, (well it was early for me) at six AM, and my dad rushed us out into the lobby, We quickly took a taxi to Paradise Island and got off at our destination. We looked around for our boat witch was called "Seahorse" and after a while we decided to ask someone that worked at the marina. They said that "Seahorse" is not sailing today. So we waited for them to make sure of that and after a while we went back to the hotel. Now we are in the lobby, planing on just being at the pool plus hot tub all day. Please enjoy this montage of pictures I have collected so far from our trip. Our hotel is located at about 25.0714, -77.3311*.

Atlantis View

3rd day in the Bahamas- "No, we do not slap nor spank our dolphins."

Today is the third day on our winter break trip, and I ALWAYS forget that it is winter. The weather here is so nice that when my sister posted some pictures on Facebook her friends said that it was not fair that she and our family was soaking up sun while the rest of them (her friends) were freezing in Louisville. Anyways, today we were gonna see some dolphins. I'm going to skip the whole "we woke up and went to the lobby" thing because I have a lot to write about. First of all, this place that we are going to is called Dolphin Cay. It is located around Atlantis in Paradise island around 25.0859, -77.3239*. When we got there it was a nice summe- i mean winter day, nice and sunny and in the high 70s. we went into a room were they taut us about the dolphin. The guide asked a question like, "do you guys know what we do to our dolphins when they do something wrong?" My sister, Noy, whispered to me "slap them?" she did not mean for the guide to hear her, but we were in the second row, so he did hear her. In response, he said "No, we do not slap or spank our dolphins. We put them in a time out, but nice guess". When he was done talking about dolphins, he pointed us to the door in the back of the room. right as he pointed to that glass door, it started pouring rain. He said "Well, folks, it looks like we are going to see dolphins in liquid sunshine".
Being with the dolphins was not the most exiting part of the day. I must say that the most exiting part of the day was when we found out that we broke into the Atlantis hotel property. Let me explain how this happened. First of all, to be on the Atlantis property, you need a special wristband. To go into the dolphin cay, you need another type of wristband. We were walking around paradise island after we finished the dolphin trip, and we saw a big crowd, so we walked towards them. Turns out that this was one of the many entrances into Atlantis. we got in even though there were security guards making sure everyone bought a 120$ wristband. We did not buy a 120$ wristband, but we did buy a 60$ wristband. We walked around Atlantis for a long while, but then it became seriously windy so we decided to leave. It was windy for the rest of the week. Look at the trees in the photo. VERY WINDY.
